Lexie + Lawton, Fowles Winery Avenel

Some love stories have a way of finding their path, no matter where life takes them, and Lexie and Lawton’s story is exactly that. From school friends to finding each other again years later in Melbourne, their connection is one that feels like it was always meant to be. I had the joy of capturing their beautiful wedding at Fowles Winery in Avenel yesterday, and it was truly a day to remember.

Lexie and Lawton first crossed paths in school, with Lawton being three years older. They became friends, but life took them in different directions for a time. Five years ago, fate stepped in when they both found themselves in Melbourne, and from there, everything just fell into place. As Lexie says, “The rest is history.”

Their wedding day at Fowles Winery reflected the ease and joy they share with each other. Lexie and Lawton wanted to remember the fun and simplicity of their connection—how they've grown together from weekly meet-ups in Melbourne to buying a house, adopting pets, and dreaming about a future family.

The weather could not have been more perfect for a spring afternoon, with the sun shining and a gentle breeze in the air. The evening treated us to a stunning sunset on the hill, painting the sky in warm hues—a picture-perfect backdrop for those intimate moments.

And how could I not mention Lexie’s grand entrance? Arriving in a classic Cadillac, she made a statement, adding a touch of vintage charm to the day.

The reception was filled with laughter and a few happy tears as friends and family shared heartfelt speeches. Each toast captured a piece of Lexie and Lawton's journey, bringing out stories that had everyone smiling, laughing, and reminiscing. And when the DJ hit the decks, the dance floor was alive with energy—it’s safe to say that this crowd knew how to party!

Before wrapping this up, I want to give a special thanks to Lexie for sharing her wedding pro tips. They’ll be so helpful for future brides planning their own special day! It’s always a joy to work with couples who are thoughtful and eager to help others.

Lexie and Lawton, thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day at Fowles Winery. It was a celebration of love, friendship, and new beginnings, and I’m grateful to have captured these memories for you. Here’s to many more sunsets at home on the farm with your ever growing menagerie of furry friends
